This newly-garnered notion of inherent parts of speech is going to either save my life or drive me so crazy that it’ll kill me. I can’t believe I never realised how many verbs have other verbs linked to them intrinsically - such as those that include things like “be,” or “go.” And then there are, of course, the nouns that are inherent, too - when you talk, you have to talk about something, so it needn’t be said if it’s not specific. I can’t believe how many words I’m going to save - a notion so precious to me - but also how nuts this is going to drive me as I’m editing others’ articles.
Who needs a man when you have syntax and semantics?
