Meredith Turits
A twenty-something, Brooklyn-based writer/magazine editor's chronicle of her first novel, peppered with thoughts on the words and streets that make her heart race.

A collection of my illustrations will be featured alongside an essay by Meredith Turits, coming this week on Millenials.

Some cool news: While still in a haze of editorial submissions on novel one, my first excerpt from novel two has been published in Millennials Magazine, Issue 2—quite appropriately, their “Modern Love” issue. It’s a little taste of the voices in and format of the second book, which has been a wildly different experience for me. (And yes, it’s that Anaïs from Slope.) Please be wonderful and take a peek at “Not Our City” here.
The images punctuating the section were done by Jacob van Loon, the sickeningly talented man reblogged above. I’m floored that Jacob agreed to create original illustrations inspired by the text, a kind of collaborative effort I’ve never before had the opportunity to experience. Go here and here and become as obsessed with his work as I am.
